UO: Defender
Feeling all nostalgic? Why not try Defender, the prototype for Protector that started it all!
A long time ago in a galaxy, right here. Defender was made, it was a work of passion that took untold days and nights to create. Before we even considered making flash games as a career and saw it purely as a hobby.
Defender was based on the Ultima Online universe an MMO that still exists today after more than a decade. It's clunky, fairly ugly and very unbalanced, but I'll be damned if it isn't quite fun to boot. Since it's release we've gone back and updated it slighty, mostly to make sure each level can actually be won.. However be warned, it's sadistic in it's difficulty.
You'll be able to see where the whole elemental strength and resist system came from as well as see how far Protector as a game has come since.
